This is Patrick Hill from the Good O'l USA. I am deeply saddened to just learn of this today Dec 11, 2021 . I was looking for an address to send to invite Mr. Burman to my wedding at the end of next year. I came across his obituary. I know Mr. Burman from working at Burman and Fellows Group. as a field technician for the US. He was truly a special person. One with good strong positive attitude. He made me feel very special especially when he took me to see a Raptors game before heading back to the States. Seems like he did everything first rate. He believed in me and my success as a person.
To his Family, Friends and Associates I send my belated condolences.
If there's anything I can do from The States please dont hesitate to ask . Its the least I can do for the extension of his family.

Jon was one of my Dads best friends. He was so much fun to be around. I remember camping with Jon and listening to his awesome stories....there were many.
Jon was very very generous...he paid for my limo on my wedding day, called me that morning to say he had taken care of our transportation...blew me away.
We miss you Jon...thanks for the memories !!

I say with absolute sincerity Jon Burman was one of the finest men I've ever had the honor to know. As anyone who knows him already knows, he always has a smile, an encouraging word, a contagious laugh, an energetic and inspiring vigor toward the Lord, toward motorcycles, and helping people grow in the Lord. He was one of the most generous and selfless people I've ever known. He was truly a man after God's own heart. Though he lived in Canada and we live in Minnesota and we did not get to see each other often, we touched base and caught up and laughed together every year in some way. I can't find the words to express my gratitude to the Lord for bringing someone like Jon into our life. We loved him and always will.
Our deepest condolences to all the family. He loved you all so much! Our prayers are with you as you walk through this next season of life without him physically with you. We pray that God comfort you in only the way He can, and bring you through with peace and joy in your heart.
With much love, Tim and Renee Burt - friends from Minneapolis, Minnesota

My thoughts are with the family. That family that Jon gave me the opportunity to meet at one of the Christmas Party in Ontario.
Like a lot of people Jon gave me a hand. He believed that I was able to work in Kelowna as a travel agent with the little English speaking that I knew. Something that I will always remember and be thankful.

I wasn’t thinking much of you not responding to my messages, assumed you were busy and was just waiting for that call where you answered everything in on shot. Lol. When I got the news I was in shock and disbelief. I got the call at about 1:20 that your situation is now terminal I cried. I sent you a long message letting you know how much you impacted my life and growth and that I’ll be praying for you at 1:50. At 3:30 you passed away, found out at 9:16 and i was a mess. I’m better knowing my message was read to you and you’re Resting In Paradise, in a better place with angels where you belong. You have touched and blessed so many people in this world and I know there is a lot of great things you have done for others that we will never know.
SLEEP WELL!

My sincerest condolences to Susan, Charlene, Colette and their families. I was Jon's lawyer for many years and will never forget his single minded, creative, persistent but principled determination to succeed at what needed to be done. Jon's stamina and positive energy were wonders to behold. During one of our many philosophical discussions Jon told me that he did not fear death because to him it meant coming home to Jesus. I take comfort from that but still, the world seems just a little smaller and less vibrant with the force of nature that was Jon gone from our midst. Sincerely, Marie Moser

My sincere heartfelt condolences to you Susie and all the family. I was one of those people Jon blessed. At a very trying time in my life when I was down Jon was my up. Jon would say come on Wend. Jon not only blessed me but he blessed my family he had a way of making you feel like you were his best friend as he did everyone. We all had our very own special relationship. Jon always talked about how much he loved his family. I could go on and on about all the things and how Jon blessed me and all the things he did in my life to be such a blessing but I know Jon is a private kind of guy, who I had the privilege honor to have had him in my life. I will sum this up with one scripture that comes to mind Jon 3:16 for God so loved the world that he gave ...... that describes Jon Burman perfectly. As we all know there's only one way to spell Jon. May all the blessings that Jon poured out on others be poured out on his family. Love and prayers for all of you, strength and comfort at this time and in the future. Love Wendy

We are so incredibly sorry for your loss.
Jon and my dad go back a few years, and when my dad was in the hospital last year (losing his battle with cancer) jon came to the hospital despite having his own health issues and sat with my dad. His comfort for our family was so greatly appreciated.
The morning of my dads funeral jon sent me a beautiful message explaining why he couldn't be with us physically but, that he was with us and how much he valued my dads friendship. I still have that message and have read it a few times. His care and compassion towards my family will always have a special place in my heart.
Rest in Peace Jon and thank you for all you've done, you will be missed.

I have known Jon as a close friend for the better part of two decades. He was a man who walked out his faith with love, compassion and honour towards any that were disadvantaged. He always had a smile and resounding laughter under any circumstances. Jon was a builder who truly saw both the potential and destiny of others through the eyes of his Saviour Jesus Christ.
You must know that he touched many everyplace he went. He most truly was light for many. His example was inspiring; pulling up many others from pits of despair. His true desire was to bring the atmosphere of heaven to earth. Rarely did you leave an encounter with him without a wide smile on your face. He truly lived his life for others. Many will not forget what he has done.
Much love to his precious family in this time. He will be missed.

Dearest Bart, Sue, Randy and Stewart.
Our deepest sympathies in the loss of your dear brother, brother in law and uncle. We never had the privilege to meet the amazing brother you talk so eloquently about Bart. That was our loss.
But I must tell you Bart that I know without a doubt that you learned all Jon was teaching you. I see you in all the qualities you admire in Jon. You are living his example everyday. It appears you were a great student, and you certainly learned from the best.
Jon has left an amazing legacy through you....through his children and his grandchildren....and through the lives he touched in his time here.
I believe that God only asks that when we leave this world...we leave it better than when we came. Your brother Jon left the world a better place.
When days seem tough and emotions run strong....go to that happy place in your heart where memories are stored.
There Jon will always be.....there he will always live on.
Sending our love.

I had the privilege of working for Jon at Burman and Fellows. My initial and most important role as an employee was to Pray for the Company and especially the people. He had such a genuine God Love so Big for people because God had Blessed him so much even when he described himself as down and out and broken during some hard times. But God restored all that back to him. He was a visionary. His vision was Huge. One day He wanted me to go and by the Biggest barrels I could get fill them with so many items to bless all the villages in Africa of the children the BF employees supported. I found out this was not the way the process went. When I told Jon this he was disappointed so his next words were “then I will go there myself and Bless them- 2010j Jon went with his two granddaughters - Chelsie and Harley and my daughter Emily. (He called Emily his 3rd granddaughter They were all forever changed. The girls experienced sharing the Love of God. And Jons Love for people grew Bigger. - Argentina, Bulgaria, out West. Down East and so many more places. God used this man mightily. I was an office on wheels in order to keep up with Jon. So thankful to God and His Plan that He used me. I can surely tell you he made everyone feel as though they were the most important people ! I know His family were the world to him. The stories he shared with me about his girls Charlene. - oh how thrilled and delighted he was when you took on the role of manager at CCC. I can still hear his voice and see his smile - she’s smart and so creative and.....then Colette. Always made her dad proud when he came into the office on a Monday morning and everything was so clean and ready for business. Then he would walk into the boardroom and there was a beautiful bouquet of Flowers ( he always said they are for him) and then Ju Jubes for everyone. And his Granchildren Zack and Chelsie and Harley and Kennedy. Wow. I hope you all know how special you are. His extravagant heart in giving and celebrating you was the overflow of Love he felt always. And Susie. I so enjoyed hearing him talk about you. - ❤️ Susie is the best cook. Always had a coffee made for him on his way out to work. You somehow were always on his mind even in the busyness of his life. You were his gentleness and calmIng sweetheart. His highschool sweetheart. What a love story!! Now he is In Heaven with Jesus. Our real Home. It’s hard for us to comprehend in our minds but now Jon is experiencing it for real. He is in our future! One of the songs Jon would always ask me to sing was called. I can hear it welling up in my heart as I am writing this so I’m going to share the lyrics “I WISH YOU JESUS”
I could wish you Joy and Peace
To last a whole life long
I could with you sunshine
Or a cheerful little song
Or wish you all the happiness
That this life could bring
But I wish you Jesus
But I wish you Jesus
But I wish you Jesus
More than anything
Susie, Charlene and Josh and Colette and Joe and Zack and Chelsie and Harley and Kennedy and Bart and Susan Randy and Stuart what a special family you are. If I could say one thing that I know Jon would want me to say is How much he loved you and let you know he has prayed for you fervently that you would all come to know Jesus as he has. Your lives will never be the same. I pray comfort and peace and the Love of God over you as you go through this time.
Love you all dearly. Julie Zver

I was saddened today to learn of Jon’s passing. My wife and I met Jon through a mutual friend in the the late 90’s. We were living in Brockville at the time and were able to see Jon from time to time when we visited the Toronto area.
Although we lost touch over the years, I have fond memories of Jon's sense of humour and his enthusiasm. “I don’t need a map to get there....the world is round....we can just go around in circles until we get there !”
He often showed his care and concern for people through his generous spirit. Whether it was his time...to chat with you or pray with you....or his money to support many worthy causes.
We can not imagine the large hole that has been left in the hearts of all who knew Jon. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Burman family as they mourn the loss of this great man !

Special mention of Josh, Charlene and Zak whom I would be most acquainted with. While I can not say I knew Mr. Burman extensively, I was always made to feel very welcome to visit at Classy Chassis for a browse and chat. Had two occasions in December to have contact with Mr. Burman. On those occasions, as always, a friendly, upbeat personable greeting. To his spiritual credit, may all of Mr. Burman's earthly contribution and exemplary deeds be recocognized. A visit to Classy Chassis will not be the same, however the spirit will be there.

Heaven’s gain is our loss. A more amazing human being, pastor, leader and friend has not walked the earth. His kindness and thoughtfullness to so many of us at Church in the Woods was in deed “above and beyond”. He open him home, his heart and his wallet to help us find or grow in our relationship with Jesus and gave us community and family. He will always be my hero and the kind of person I aspire to be like. He demonstrated the love of Jesus in so many practical ways. Heaven minded and bound but he also had his feet planted on earth to care for those in need. He was a mentor and role model to women, men and young people, including my son Christian. I will miss so many great things about him... but his smile and unmistakable voice/laughter and how he lived/modeled Jesus will be among the top.
Susie and family our deepest sympathy for ours and your loss. You are all in our prayer. May the God of Peace bless and keep you.

Deepest condolences to you Colette and to your entire family. The love and devotion so evident in every picture you post brings back such warm memories of my own familial experiences every time I see one. I pray that your family can move quickly from grief and loss to the warm hug of your memories. I pray that you will feel him around you on a daily basis and hear his words when you face trying times. Those are the things which bring me comfort. Though I was not fortunate enough to spend a lot of time in your dad's presence, his influence was unmistakable. With a warmth that filled every room and a smile that rivaled the sun you knew that you were in the presence of a generous and caring man. He drew you in and held you in his orbit. I enjoyed working for him and was humbled by the trust he placed in me. The last memory I have of your dad and the one I shall keep is him waving goodbye in Kelowna as he rode away with puppy Davidson on the back of his Harley. Big smile, hair flying under his helmet and off on his next big adventure. He is not gone from your life, he has simply changed form.

Jon was such a blessing to me and my family on so many occasions. There was many times where we were in a hard place and he was there to lift us up, encourage us and bless us beyond what we could possibly imagine. I am so grateful for his obedience and his example he showed in serving the Lord. What a true hero to the body of Christ. I will always be grateful, and never forget the love that he showed us all.

Rev Dad Jon - a wonderful example of the Love of Jesus! We will cherish the awesome memories of your hearty laughter and love. I recall the great time we had in San Antonio, Texas at the Jerry Savelle meetings as you, John Trotter, Mike & I took the tour in the boat of River Walk. Thank you for all your love, prayers and support of Jerry Savelle Ministries-Canada and Chariots of Light. We are forever grateful for you and love you.We are praying for Susan and your family. It is a consolation to know that you are rejoicing in Heaven with Jesus, Bob, Pastor Dale, Colin and all the other family there. The world mourns a great man but celebrates having to know such a person. It’s not often that one has such an impact on someone’s life. I met Jon when I was 11 years old. Not having a father figure in my daily life, Jon showed me the value of patience,, strength, courage, perseverance and determination. I believe that everybody who came into contact with him became a better person for it. May the thoughts, prayers and all the fond memories shared from everyone bring comfort to the family.

Jon is a part of our family and I will always miss him. He’s been my Dad’s best friend for years and I will never forget the special place he’s had with us. I will miss our road trips to Buffalo and tailgating at the Bills games. I’ll also never forget when he officiated our wedding in Las Vegas and then showed up to the reception dressed as Elvis! You can never replace someone like Jon Burman, there’s far too few good people like him in the world as he made you want to be better, just by knowing him. I’ve always looked up to him as a mentor and deeply respected the proud and moral man he was. Despite how I feel right now, I’m also overjoyed that I was lucky enough just to know him. I’ll see you again one day my friend.

Dear Char, Josh and family. We are so sad to hear of Jon's passing and send our deepest sympathies to you and your family. We knew Jon through his motorcycle business. His guidance and support had us take the leap to pursue a new hobby - riding Harley's, multiple road trips and great memories. It's amazing how one individual can make such a profound difference in the lives of others, in ways they may never truly know. He will be fondly remembered for the memories he gave and helped us create. We send our sincerest condolences to you and your family. "What love giveth, death can never take away". Barb & Joe
