We are so sorry. Can't believe it. I was talking to him not long ago. Willie was the reason my husband Bruce and I joined the Legion. He was the bar tender and made you feel so welcome. He had a great personality and we appreciated him. He was a great guy. Thinking of you at this dad time.

I’m sad to hear of Willy’s passing. He was my great uncle and my grandmother Evelyn’s little brother. I remember his genuine smile and handshake.. he played the harmonica and all who knew him would agree that Willy was just the nicest guy in the room. I’m glad to know he’s not suffering anymore pain. I’ll drink a toast to Willy and think of him every time I’m in Lakefield, Ontario.
