WEASE: Austin

Passed away peacefully with family by his side at Lakefield Extendicare on Wednesday February 6, 2019.  Austin Wease of Apsley in his 102nd year.  Loving husband of the late Hazel (nee Post) (2014).  Dear father of David (the late Sharon) of North Kawartha, Doris Johnston (Jack) of Paudash Lake, Murray (Julianne) of Abbotsford, B.C., Mark (Debra) of Ottawa and father-in-law of Wayne Bronson.  Also survived by 19 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Austin is predeceased by his daughter Sandra Bronson, sisters Daisy Wease, Marion Buck (Wally Thompson & Harold Buck), brother Orville Wease (Phyllis) and grandson Dusten Wease.  Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, on Monday February 11, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday February 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM.  A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home.  Interment Glen Alda Cemetery, spring 2019.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Ferndale Bible Church, Peterborough or Coe Hill Gospel Church.  Friends may send condolences or make donations by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.  The family wishes to thank the staff at both Peterborough and Lakefield Extendicare and P.S.W.’s Sam and Sarah for the exceptional care of Austin.
