COONES: William John “Bill”

November 27, 1947 – July 29, 2019

Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Monday July 29, 2019 at the age of 71. Loving husband of Susan (nee Tedford) for 49 years, cherished dad of Krista Dixon (Kyle) and Harley (Tina), beloved Grandpa of Kaylin, Alayna, Chloe and Emily. Bill will be remembered by his siblings Reg (Alice), Judy Windover, Wendy Coones (Colin), Jennifer Bestard and Carol Terry (Brian), and Sue’s siblings, his in-laws, Norma Hamilton (Art), Wayne Tedford (Elsie), Marg Bell (Terry), Marion Hooton (Ken Bell), Linda Park, Judy Bryan (Les), Dave Tedford, and Wendy Dunford (Gary). Predeceased by his parents Fred and Elsie Coones. Friends and family will be received at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen St., Lakefield, on Tuesday August 6, 2019 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday August 7, 2019 at 1:00 PM. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home.
