Obituary of Fred Wilson

WILSON: Frederick Joseph

Passed away peacefully at his home on Monday November 4, 2019.  Fred Wilson of Lakefield in his 86^th year.  Fred was a long-time employee of the Canadian National Railway.  Loving husband of the late Alice Wilson (nee Foster) (d. 2008).  Sadly missed by his children Gwen Little (Paul) and Dan Wilson (Bonnie Ryder), all of Lakefield.  Loving grandfather of Andrew (Elizabeth) & Ryan Little and Darrel & Jessie Ryder-Wilson.  Great grandfather of Bentley.  Also missed by his sisters Judy Crapp (Tom), Margaret Maskell (Dan), Gail Sears (Reid), brother Darcy Wilson (Donna) and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Darcy & Pearl, sisters Mary Ann Moher (Ray), Joan Ireland (Bradley) Patricia Houghton (Rod) and brother-in-law Doug Crapp.  A funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, on Monday November 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM.  Visitation one hour prior to the service.  A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the Funeral Home.  Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
