Allan lived in the apt. across from my parents a few years back. My mum, who was also from Scotland, loved having another Scot in the building with whom she could share stories of "home".
Allan was a lovely and lively gentleman who will be missed by all.
Sincere condolences to his family.
Janice Wuerch and John Britton.

What can we say about Allan?! he was a rascal and full of fun comments! I met him and Morag when I worked at the CIBC . We both had just moved here. Always laughing and carrying on. Always a smile on his face. Then I moved to Foodland and the shennanigans continued. Lively and full of funny things to say. Always had a laugh at the till when checking out. Even when he went on oxygen his happy stature continued. We girls at the store missed him and wondered where he was and then finally got the news. I am so sad to here of his passing as he was such a wonderful character. Always so friendly. God Bless you Allen. Hope you keep the angels laughing just as much.

I’m so sorry to hear of Allan’s passing. I know he had breathing issues the last while. I will always remember the time the hydro was out in the apartment building Allan came downstairs to see if I was ok and had a flashlight. He told me to knock on the ceiling if I needed anything. He was very thoughtful and I will miss hearing him walking around upstairs. The one thing he always told me was to call him Allan, as I always called him Mr. Boyd, so Allan, I will honour that request and extend my deepest sympathy to Allan’s family at this very difficult time.
