I worked for many years with Neil at The Co-operators and he was such a fun person to be around. He had a great sense of humor and at Staff Social Occasions was always up at the podium to tell us a funny story or Joke. He was definitely a person who was liked among his Co-Workers and he will be missed at our Annual "Old Coots" Dinners. I send to you Gail and your Family my deepest Sympathy.

Neil was my bantam hockey coach and I learned so much from him. Of course I was in awe of him earlier, as I watched him play hockey and softball at a very high level. He was such an impressive man and will be fondly remembered. My condolences to all the Wassons and Neil's friends.

RIP Neil! One of Peterborough's prominent sports families, akin to the Johnston and Evans families, has passed on. Neil had the experience of playing softball and hockey with his brothers, another tribute to the Johnston and Evans families. Peterborough's sports fans were treated to his excellence.Asked about his past sports history, Neil, like the other Wassons, modestly shrugged off his accomplishments as just playing the game. We'll miss you!

Dear Gail & Family:
On behalf of my father, Roger Wilson (and my late mother Pauline) and our family, we were so sorry to learn of Neil's passing and we wanted to send you and the Wasson family our sincere condolences, Mom and dad always enjoyed getting together with you and Neil and the rest of the "gang" for lots of laughter and good times! Dad still loves to talk about his experiences playing sports with Neil and his brothers, not to mention the well known rivalries between various teams. Neil's wit and dry sense of humour will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially by my dad. We always laugh at the photo of dad and Neil dressed in identical outfits while vacationing in Florida. "Happy Hours" will never be the same!
Sincerely,
Donna Spina

My deepest condolences to Gail and family.. not even sure what to say except knowing Neil, our community has lost one of it's best, he was so knowledgeable and happy to share, kind, friendly, happy, loving and always a smile on his face and time for a chat when he met you.. he has been an icon in our Village forever and respected by all, that isn't even touching on his hockey and athletic days, Gail and him also raised a wonderful and well respected family, I can't imagine how they are going to cope without him.. but he left them very proud memories that will last forever.. you all will be in our thoughts & prayers throughout this difficult family..
