Lisa, Maury, Courtney, Cordelia and Briana;
We are deeply saddened and devastated to read about Maury's (Mickey) passing. We have so many wonderful memories of spending time with you at your log home in Loch Lomond. Maury's smile lit up a room and our hearts. He was such a caring, kind, intelligent and talented man. He played the bagpipes so well! He was protective of his sisters and everyone he cared about. We remember how kind Maury and the girls were to Jordan when he was waiting to get the bus to go to elementary school. Our sincerest condolences to you all and also to his wife Elizabeth and his daughter to be born, Ainslie Paige.

To Courtney and the McCrillis Family,
My condolences to you at this difficult time. Maury was a kind and sweet young man who would help you with anything, and smile all the time he was helping you. His music brought such joy to those who were fortunate enough to hear it. Cherish the memories.

Although we are extremely saddened to hear of Maury's passing, we'd like to share some memories of him. We first met Maury a few years back when came to the Armouries. During our introductions to one another, he said "My name's Maury like in ...More of Me!", we had a chuckle. This was the beginning of a great relationship we all had. We enjoyed sharing breaks, coffee, and stories with him. He spoke of his parents, sisters, the log home, his hobbies and his engagement and marriage to Elizabeth. On occasion he would bring in Hazel and she wouldn't let him out of her sight. We were introduced to Elizabeth and could truly see that they had such a special relationship. After we left the Armouries we would stop by on occasion and share his break with him. Our last time we met was in early March where he excitedly shared the news that he was going to be a father. We are sure going to miss this guy!
Sending our most sincerest condolences to Elizabeth and all his family

I never knew Maury or his family personally, but reading this brought tears to my eyes. The world was a better place with him in it. One person makes such a difference and he was a person who made such a difference. I am sorry for this loss.

Sending our love and hoping it helps a little to know how many people care. We're very sorry for your loss. Our dance group, Richmond MacAcadian Ceilidh Dancers had the honour of having Piper Maury McCrillis at several of our Robbie Burns dinners.
Always punctual, a smile to melt anyone's heart and so accommodating ...even travelling in dead of winter from Newfoundland to be our piper in St.Peter's,Nova Scotia. Thanks,Maury!

He loved Piping for you all! He was dedicated and understood that you worked hard at dancing, that the skills you embody were part of the cultural experience shared with him and his bagpipes. Thank you for reaching out to us his family. Blessings always xoxo

Maury's friendship has been dear to me. We met in the CBH P&D's, got our first apartment together, in just the worst part of town, and he stood in my wedding when I married my Wife. Sarah and I both love and miss him very much and we send our love and prayers to his family. Until we meet again Mickey.
