Dear Jim and Family,
Michael and I were saddened to hear of Colleen's passing.
She was an important part of so many children's lives as she drove them to school daily and always greeted them with a smile hello and a wave goodbye. Our daughter Shae ( Shannon ) was one of her passengers and she never forgot her kindness.
Over the years we have enjoyed many friendly chats at art shows and dinner theatre and know how much Colleen loved her community. She was always willing to lend a hand or lend an ear. She had a wonderful laugh that added joy to many lives!
Our deepest sympathies go out to you at this sad time. We know that loving memories of Colleen will be shared for years to come.
In friendship,
Ellen and Michael Dumas

Thinking of Colleen’s family and those who loved her as you navigate the grieving waters.
Colleen was always a friendly, comforting face every morning and every afternoon as those school bus doors opened. I can only imagine the love, comfort and kindness she extended to her family and extended family. I hope it’s enough to last your lifetime and you are comforted by the fact that she extended it to all of those kids for all of those years, myself and three siblings included!
Rest well Colleen.

You have always been with us as we’ve grown up over the years. You’ve watched us both grow from the babies you held and took care of into the adults you’ve been proud to see graduate and experience life (that you could then brag about). We will never forget the lessons you taught us, the love you showed us, and how being in your presence made us feel; loved and safe. Thank you for all of the smiles, laughs, stories, and shared quiet moments that we will never forget. Having you as our grandmother has been an absolute honour. We will miss you everyday, but you will never be far from us, we will keep you in our hearts, always.
We love you,
Jamie and Cole

I have known Colleen for many years and enjoyed coffee and conversation with her at Buckhorn Lodge, Twin Willows and the Icehouse. Colleen always had a smile and was always crocheting! Colleen volunteered at the Buckhorn Community Centre whenever she was able to and enjoyed greeting visitors and selling tickets, while Jim directed visitors to parking spots. A wonderful angel is now looking over us all. Our deepest sympathy and hugs to all the family. Judy and Rob McWhirter

Your mom was a wonderful person who was warm, friendly and loved her family. I'm reminded of how she always looked out for the kids on Coral Gable Dr. and how she supported and tolerated all our adventures in Kawartha Hideaway. Her passing is sad, but she lived her life on her own terms right up until the end. Our deepest condolences to you and your family.

Jim, Corrie, Louise and family, so sad to learn that Colleen has passed. One of my favourite memories of being one of her “bus kids” has to be my first year of school - making lifelong friends while Colleen led us in sing-songs of “doe a deer, a female deer” - she always made sure this farm kid was well taken care of and made it to school safe - right through to high school grad. We’ll miss seeing Colleen at Lakehurst events and taking time to fill her in on what we’ve been up to, with deepest condolences, David & Jacqui Irwin

"A life with love is a life that's been lived
So I'll say Hallelujah
You were an angel in the shape of my mom
When I fell down you'd be there holding me up
Spread your wings as you go
And when God takes you back we'll say Hallelujah
Your Home"
Love you always
