Passed away at the P.R.H.C. on Thursday February 11, 2021.  Gail Wasson of Lakefield in her 83^rd year.  Gail could light up a room with her stories and humour, host happy hours you wouldn't want to leave and love the heck out of her family and friends. She made living life to the fullest look effortless. Beloved wife of the late Neil Wasson (2020).  Dear mom of Kathy Payne (Lynn “Ink”) of Lakefield and Mike Wasson (Lynn) of Peterborough.  Dear nanny of Janna Klostermann (Philip) of Ottawa, Claire Hammond (Brandon) of Peterborough, Neil Wasson (Nicole) of Lacombe, Alberta and Stacey Wasson (Jordan) of Peterborough.  Dear great grandmother of Macklin Wasson, Ben Huber and Trevor and Tyler Hammond.  Survived by her sister Betty Trumpour of Lakefield, brothers-in-law Dean Wasson (Freda), Don “Red” Wasson (Marie) and sisters-in-law Elaine Lytle, Cheryl Reid (Bert) and Helene Wasson.  Predeceased by her parents Gerry & Mary Baker, son Timothy (1966) and brothers-in-law Ken Trumpour, Cameron Wasson, Royden Wasson (Betty).  A private funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, on Thursday February 18, 2021 at 1:00 PM.  You are invited to watch the funeral service by visiting www.hendrenfuneralhome.com and clicking on the link provided on Gail’s tribute page.  Memorial donations may be made to the Lakefield Historical Society or a charity in Lakefield of your choice as expressions of sympathy.  Friends may send condolences or make donations by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
