Kurt Lange

Obituary of Kurt Willi Lange

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kurt Willi Lange, a resident of Stoney Lake for 56 years. Kurt will be remembered fondly by his son, Eric, of Stoney Lake and his sister, Elsa, of Peterborough.

Kurt was born in Dinslaken, Germany. He emigrated to Canada in 1958. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Clara Lange, brother, Richard, sister, Elfriede, and wife Carolanne Catherine Lange (née Jackson) of Niagara Falls N.Y.

He will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law, James Jackson (Sandra), Wilson, NY, nephew, Richard Heilmann (Jill) of Burleigh Falls, and many nieces and nephews in Canada, the USA, and Germany (Jackson’s, Heilmann’s, and Dehm’s). In keeping with Kurt’s wishes, cremation has already taken place, and a private ceremony will take place in July. A celebration of life will take place at the Lange residence on Young’s Bay. All are welcome.

Kurt had many talents, construction, cabinetry, and landscaping, A true jack of all trades, he helped his neighbours with any problems they may have had. His love of nature gave him the uncanny knack of knowing where the deer were on the hunt, and when the best time to fish was!

Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at PRHC (A4, D2) who helped make Dad’s last days bearable.
