Passed away peacefully at the PRHC on Saturday March 27, 2021 in her 100th year comforted by loved ones. Loving mother of Bruce, Ross (Sherry), Karen McCahon (Neal) and Allen.  Dear grandmother of Jade, Lindsay, Laura, Ian, Alexis, Karlene, Jaclyn, Jillian and great Grandmother to Presley, London, Sean, Maeve and Isabelle. Predeceased by her husband George, son Brian, grandson Collin, brother Walter in active service in WW II, and her sisters Evelyn and Lila and sister-in-law and dear friend Doris Millar. She will be sadly missed by many friends and extended family.

Winnie was born and raised in Saskatchewan and served with the RCAF (WD) during WW II, where she was stationed at several different bases around the country. She moved to Toronto after the war where she met and married George Bateman and raised a family together.  After retirement they moved to the Curve Lake area where Winnie made many friends playing golf in the Ladies League and curling in Lakefield until the age of 90. Winnie also helped to form a bridge club with her curling friends that’s still going strong (and will resume after the pandemic).
