I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope that it helps in some small way, to know how loved, respected and appreciated Ruth was by her work family. And that as private as Ruth was, her great love, respect and appreciation for her family, from her dear parents to her great nieces and nephew, were obvious to us all in her stories and acts of devotion.
Ruth made a positive difference to our workplace in innumerable ways: her delightful terms of endearment for us; her deadpan humour; her intelligence, professionalism, command of language and readiness to go 'above and beyond'; her generosity, compassion and empathic support when I or another colleague was under professional or personal stress; Ruth's humility and self effacing ways despite her considerable strengths and attributes.
I will dearly miss our Ruth, from her stylishly coiffed head to her designer clad toes, and the light, laughter and love, that she shared with us.
