Dear Ruth: I am really feeling for you on the loss of Phil. I so appreciated his kind ministry to my parents. He modelled the life of Jesus through his listening ear, compassionate words and gracious friendship to hundreds over the years; but above all, through his love for you and all your family. His Baptist family is going to miss him, too! God bless and comfort you.

I only met Phil briefly at various church events but was very impressed by his winning smile, his focussed attention when conversing, and his genuine caring interest. Your memories are wonderful as evidenced in your video presentation and your grief is understandably great. May you be permeated with the peace of the God and Saviour whom he loved and served so well.

Dear Ruth and family: We were deeply saddened to hear about Rev. Phil's passing. We loved to hear him speak when he was called upon to minister to us at Edmison Heights church. His warm and infectious smile will always be remembered. He always went out of his way to show interest in everyone he met and made them feel valued. What an amazing example he was, in showing others the love of Jesus! May the Lord's presence comfort you and your family in the coming days, weeks and months. With love and prayers, Sue and Mark DuMoulin

Ruth, Esther & Karen & the entire Brown Family:
We were very saddened to hear of Pastor Phil's passing. We join with many others in expressing our sincere sympathy to you all. Pastor Phil was a wonderful, caring, compassionate man and He exemplified the love of Christ through example, conversation, love and friendship, prayers and the list goes on. We enjoyed many precious times together both at their home and ours. We were privileged to meet Phil & Ruth when they were Interim Pastors at the Baptist Church in Lindsay, and have kept in contact ever since. We can be comforted that his earthly suffering is over and "Earth's Loss is Heaven's Gain". He will have heard the words of Jesus, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant". Thinking of You All. Ep & Marion Luchies.

I would like to send my condolences to the whole family of Phil Brown. I'm so very sorry for your loss as I know Phil will be very much missed by you all but know in your hearts that he is in a better place without any pain or sickness and that he will forever be looking down on you all. I never knew him that well but I really listened in the Edmison Heights Baptist Church when he was called upon to do a service at the church, he would make people understand and he was a very nice and socialable person. Many many Blessings to you all and have the faith in knowing that things will get easier with family and friends by your side from now and through out your lives.

Hi Ruth, Esther & Karen,
Your husband & Dad was wonderful Pastor/Friend to my son Prentice Wilson. When you folks were at Uxbridge Baptist we appreciated all your support for both our children... (Jason) Prentice lives near Cookstown with his wife Heather & 3 boys and 1 daughter. Laura had trouble with milk & wheat disorder also had several eye surgeries. Both Prentice & Laura spent a lot of time at Sick Kids and your prayer support was a blessing. Prentice asked Rev Brown to baptize him before his surgery... what a blessing. We also remember stories with Block-head at children's prayer time. You gave our family wonderful expressions of love when we needed them most.
May our Lord be gracious to all of you over the next days and months as you adjust to all the changes. May you feel the oil of balm of our Saviour's love with you always. Love in Christ, Georgina, Prentice & Laura Wilson
