Peter always had the best nod and wave when he passed us on the cottage road, a kind word for everyone, and he pulled our family out of snowbanks more times than I care to admit. Once he even had to bring the tractor down to get my truck out of the ditch. Christmas trees, firewood, and a safe house at the end of the road whenever it was needed. He will be missed.
