Dear Martha, Peter and family, I was saddened to learn about your loss. I remember Bonnie as a gentle person, who we were all comforted by, with her nursing skills at the cottage. Dear Martha and Peter, I wanted to express my deepest condolences to you on the loss of your mom. My fondest childhood memories are associated with summers at Kennisis and I will never forget how kind and welcoming she was to me, always ready for a friendly chat or to conspire with to make a surprise birthday cake for June. It strikes me now how much she enjoyed the company of children. What a beautiful tribute video you have on this website - it looks as though she was blessed with lots of children around throughout her life. I hope you are both well. Dear Peter, Martha, Steve and family: I’m sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. She played a very large role in my summers growing up next door at the cottage. Only she (and your dad, collectively and fondly known as “The Barnes” would know how many times as a toddler I would wander over in the morning to get them out of bed. From the craft box (how my own mom must have appreciated her taking us away from our cottage on rainy days) to puzzle perusing and the never ending humbug candies ... all play a memorable part of my childhood. The years and moves took me away from the cottage life, but I’ll always remember ... warmest regards and condolences. Christina Donely
