Obituary of Linda May McCauley

McCauley: Linda (nee Hockaday):  

Of Lakefield, passed away suddenly at the young age of 69 on Friday June 4, 2021.  Linda spent most of her life caring for others and was always the house on the block where all of the kids felt comfortable when her girls were young.  She spent many years as a foster parent and later went back to college where she graduated top of her class in Social Service work.  After that she spent the remainder of her work life at Community Living helping support special needs adults in the community.   Loved and missed by her daughters Tammy Scott (Brad) of Keene and Marcy Mundell (Mike) of Warsaw.  Loving Nan of Mackenzy (Bryanna), Carter (Kendra), Jaxen (Brooke), Calihan (Adrian), Maguire (Kayla) and Jagger. Survived by her brothers Brent Hockaday (Wendy) and his children Jordanna (Brennan), Joel ( Danielle) and Terry Hockaday (Cindy) and his children Trevor (Sarah) and Deanna (Chuck) and families.  Predeceased by her parents Aubrey & Betty Hockaday.  Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made to Community Livings Dream Fund which was dear to Linda’s heart (e-transfer to ar@clth.ca) or Lakefield Animal Welfare Society (L.A.W.S.)
