MORTON, Mary

Passed away at Sherbrooke Heights on Wednesday June 16, 2021. Mary Alice Morton (nee MacNaughton), an avid quilter and curler, formerly of Young’s Point, in her 105th year.  Mary is dearly missed by her sons Jack Morton (d. Joanne) and Roger Morton (Donna).  Nanny/Momma, will be missed by Lynn Martin (Jeff), Roger Morton (Laurie), Wendy Fisher (Rob), John Morton, and Rob Morton (Kristina). Mary will also be missed by great grandchildren, Rebecca, Joshua, Kirsten, Nathan, Abbey, Beth, Sarah and Grace.   Predeceased by her husband John Morton and siblings Harry MacNaughton (d.Alice), Lois Bonney (d. Ab), Wallace MacNaughton (d. Bonnie), Braden MacNaughton (Evelyn), Addie Jackson (d. Cy), Margaret Dunford (d. Douglas) and Sandy MacNaughton (d. Elva).  Mary is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, her good friends Janice and Malcolm Teasdale of Tyler, Texas and many extended family in England.  Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, Ontario on Thursday, June 24 , 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Due to COVID restrictions, visitation is limited to a specific number of visitors at a time. Everyone must wear a face covering.  A family funeral service will be held on Friday June 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
