Obituary of Robert Wagner

Peacefully at his residence on Monday July 26 in his 88th year, at 6:10pm with his two loving sons by his side. Loving husband to Eleonore (deceased), proud dad of Jeffrey and Ronnie, father-in-law to Lexi and Colleen, caring Opa to Matthew, Natalie, Rachel, Alex, Julianne and Rene. Youngest son to the late Heinrich and Juilane of Germany, youngest brother of Heini and Inge. Born in Germany, Bob immigrated to Canada at the age of 21 as a trained accountant to be certified in Canada 3 years later. Majority of his career as a Chartered Accountant at Philips Electronics managing many international operations specializing in international tax law. Good friend of the Philips family. His love for his family and the country drew him to the current farm in Dummer township where he built up a thriving Maple Syrup operation with his wife and two sons where Eleonore would sell syrup at the Peterborough Farmers Market and both as Treasurer for many years. Upon Eleonore's passing, Bob would carry on making many friends and thoroughly enjoyed talking to the many patrons and vendors. He took great pleasure watching his two sons working together. A graveside service will be held at St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery, Warsaw, Ontario on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM.
