Donald Charles Dunn

December 8, 1940 – August 7, 2021

Passed away peacefully on August 7^th, surrounded by his family. Don Dunn of Peterborough in his 81^st year. Loved and missed by his wife Gloria and his daughters Jennifer Warren (Richard) of Scarborough and Jillian Parish (Joe) of Millbrook. Grandpa is remembered by Kiera & Kael Warren and Lucas & Aaron Parish and his furry friend Bella. Survived by his sisters Helen Ballantyne of Ennismore, Evelyn Thomson of Kincardine, Joan Morgan of Durham, Phyllis Woodbeck (Ray) of Peterborough, and his sisters in law Anne Dunn, Leila Dunn and Shelley VanLoosen (David) all from Peterborough. Uncle Don will be missed and remembered by his many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Mabel and Henry, sisters  Milldred Hooten, Mary Wheeler, Jean Jackson, Doreen Reynolds and his brothers Edwin, Kenneth and Ronald Dunn. Don enjoyed golfing and curling and spending time with his family. He loved to travel and had many great adventures with family and friends. Life is not always fair but he played the hand he was dealt with strength and courage. He could always be counted on for advice and a kind word. He never complained or became defeated with obstacles placed in his way. The family extends gratitude to the nurses on B3 who lifted spirits when needed. A special thank you to Logan, Ashton and Hailey who went above and beyond. Visitation will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Friday August 13^th from 10am to 12pm. A private family service will follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Lakefield Curling Club or a charity of your choice as an expression of sympathy.
