Long-time resident /Farmer of Asphodel-Norwood Township

Passed away peacefully at Fairhaven Long Term Care Home, Peterborough, Ontario, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.  Joe (Papa Joe) in his 98^th year was predeceased by his wife Teresa (Dec 2012). Joe will fondly be remembered by his sons, Brian (Janice) of Aurora and Barry (Maureen) of Asphodel-Norwood. Proud Papa of Brad (Kate) of Cambridge, Steve (Laura) of Ennismore, Joey of Asphodel-Norwood and great grandson, Colton. Survived by his sister, Theresa Patterson (the late Roy), in-laws, Rose Doherty, Len & Helen Tackaberry, Bill & Rita Allen, Paul & Bernadette Guyatt, and Jerry & Dianne Doherty. Predeceased by his parents, Stafford and Ellen (née Herr) Walsh, sisters Rita (the late George) Maloney and Pauline Silverthorne, in laws John & Marie Clancy, Vince Doherty, Bernie Doherty and Jack & Winnie Delaney. Will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to Maple View Retirement Home, Norwood where Joe spent his last 3+ years and to Fairhaven Long Term Care Home, Peterborough for the past three weeks.
