Long-time resident /Farmer of Asphodel-Norwood Township

 

Passed away peacefully at Fairhaven Long Term Care Home, Peterborough, Ontario, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.  Joe (Papa Joe) in his 98th year was predeceased by his wife Teresa (Dec 2012). Joe will fondly be remembered by his sons, Brian (Janice) of Aurora and Barry (Maureen) of Asphodel-Norwood. Proud Papa of Brad (Kate) of Cambridge, Steve (Laura) of Ennismore, Joey of Asphodel-Norwood and great grandson, Colton. Survived by his sister, Theresa Patterson (the late Roy), in-laws, Rose Doherty, Len & Helen Tackaberry, Bill & Rita Allen, Paul & Bernadette Guyatt, and Jerry & Dianne Doherty. Predeceased by his parents, Stafford and Ellen (née Herr) Walsh, sisters Rita (the late George) Maloney and Pauline Silverthorne, in laws John & Marie Clancy, Vince Doherty, Bernie Doherty and Jack & Winnie Delaney. Will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to Maple View Retirement Home, Norwood where Joe spent his last 3+ years and to Fairhaven Long Term Care Home, Peterborough for the past three weeks.
