FLETT: Ronald Ivison

Passed away peacefully at Pinecrest Nursing Home, Bobcaygeon on Sunday January 30, 2022.  Ron Flett of Bobcaygeon was in his 92nd year.  Ron spent most of his career in accounting and following his retirement he began working at Monk Funeral Home in Bobcaygeon.  Ron loved his work at the funeral home and enjoyed over 25 years of helping families.  He was an active volunteer in the community, giving his time to various organizations including the Canadian Cancer Society as volunteer driver, and serving on the board of the Verulam Cemetery.   Ron was also very active as a member of Trinity United Church, having served as the Treasurer for 18 years.  Ron loved singing, having a pleasant tenor voice.  He sang in different choirs most of his life.  He also had a deep love of travel and enjoyed many trips to various places throughout the world.  He is dearly missed by his good friend Karin Kinsman.  Also missed by his son Paul Flett and daughter-in-law Deb Flett (widow of Peter Flett).  Dear grandfather of Tyler and Kelsey (Thomas Kerby) and great granddaughter, Nieve.  Survived by several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his wife Mary Ellen, son Peter and 3 brothers.  Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, MONK CHAPEL, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon, on Friday February 4, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  A funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, Bobcaygeon on Saturday February 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM.  Interment Verulam Cemetery, Spring 2022.  You may register to attend the visitation or service by clicking on the link available on the memorial page for Ron at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com.  You must be fully vaccinated to attend the visitation or service and masks must be worn while in the funeral home or church.  If you are unable to attend the service, you may watch the service by visiting www.hendrenfuneralhome.com  Memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Church or the Lung Association as expressions of sympathy, and may be made by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-738-3222.
