Obituary of Eric Albert Batten

Passed away at Extendicare Peterborough on Sunday May 1^st, 2022.  Eric was the former and first Reeve, of the amalgamation of Douro-Dummer townships. Beloved husband of 61 years to Dorothy Batten (née Crapp).  Loving father of Ruth Richardson (Gary), Marilyn Taylor (Clarence), and Richard Batten.  Papa will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Sara Richardson (Mike), Chris Richardson (Rachael), Angie Richardson, Josh Richardson (Alisha), Jenna Richardson (Tom), Jeremy Richardson (Mary), Sherri Taylor (Darryl), Shawn Taylor (Jessica), Alisha Batten (Hannah), and great grandchildren Arrianna, Lynden, Noah, Lilly, Ethan, Bruce, Ben, Autumn, Max, Hailey, Emma, Mason, Jaxon, and Claire.  Eric is survived by his brothers Harvey Batten (Bev) and Murray Batten (Flo), many brothers in law and sisters in law, nieces and nephews.  Eric is predeceased by his brother Bill Batten (d. Shirley).
