REID: Ronald Miles “Ron”

Passed away suddenly at Kingston General Hospital on Monday May 2, 2022.  Ron Reid of Madoc, formerly of Lakefield in his 68^th year.  Ron was an employee of General Electric in Peterborough for 32 years.  He loved Bluegrass music and spent many nights jamming with friends or attending music festivals.  Ron loved spending time at the Reid’s hunt camp near Marmora.  He is loved and missed by his wife of 44 years, Joanne Reid.  Loving father of Lisa Reid (Jeff Milne) of White Lake and the late Jason Reid (d. 2008).  Survived by his mother-in-law Phyllis Hamilton (the late Dave), father-in-law John Dunford (Linda), brothers-in-law Bob Buckwald, Michael Dunford (the late Lori), Tony Traynor (Kathy) and sisters-in-law Karen Watson and Tracey Flinders (Bruce).  Also missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Predeceased by his parents Edward and Helen and his sister Lynda Northey.  Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, on Sunday May 8, 2022 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday May 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM.
