TAYLOR: Hubert Allan “Bud”

 

Passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday May 8, 2022.  Bud Taylor of Lakefield in his 85th year. Bud worked as a well driller in the area for many years and together with his wife Marilyn, they operated the Farm Bake Shoppe for 18 years.  Bud & Marilyn loved travelling to many of the local Jamborees in the area and you would often find Bud singing away to his favourites at the open mic.  He is loved and missed by his wife of 63 years, Marilyn.  Loving father of Cindy Taylor of Peterborough and the late Dan Taylor.  Also missed by his daughter-in-law Nonie Taylor (Jim Caton).  Grandpa is remembered by Emily Taylor "Emmer" (Shane Richard) of Vaughan, Curtis Taylor of Peterborough and Amanda Hipgrave (Denny) of Peterborough.  Dear great grandpa of Norah and Layla.  Survived by his brother Ralph “Curly” Taylor (Brenda) of Madoc, sisters Jean Savage of Alberta, Audrey Foley (Tom) of Peterborough, and sisters-in-law Marion Taylor, Jean Yeats, Betty Sexsmith and Lynda Barry.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Frank & Myrtle, brothers Bill and Ed Taylor, sister Bertha Teebo (Durwood), brothers-in-law Frank Penn, Ken Yeats, Ken Sexsmith, sisters-in-law Pat Ramsay (Albert), Mary Smith and an infant brother and sister.  A Celebration of Bud’s Life will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made to Five Counties Children’s Centre, Peterborough or the Heart & Stroke Foundation as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
