Obituary of Lois Katherine Keller
The Keller family announces the passing of Lois K. Keller in her 101st year.
After celebrating an extraordinary 100th Birthday in April, it is with heavy hearts we share the news that on June 8th, 2022 just before noon, Lois said her goodbyes to those at her bedside and passed peacefully into the next life where she joins her husband Jerry, her son Michael and her son-in-law, Robert McIntyre in eternal rest.
Lois Keller was the acclaimed matriarch of this family and offered love, support and her special brand of hospitality to many extended family members and friends alike. She has been a well loved and respected member of the Lakefield community, where she spent over 70 years of her life. Always active and involved, she will be remembered for her participation in Historical, Horticultural, Literary and Social clubs and associations where she gave generously of her time and talents.
She leaves behind her family members, Wendy and Wayne Freeburn, Kris Keller and Don Cleary and Joan Keller. She was a proud “Nan” to Kelly Dunford (Terry) Chuck Freeburn (Wendy), Jeff Keller and Scott Keller (Amy) and an amazing “G-Nan” to Zachary Dunford, Jordan Keller, Brianna Keller, Emily Keller and Cameron Keller.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service has been arranged, with interment at the Keller Cemetery, Healey Falls to follow. The family would like to thank the staff at Pleasant Meadow Manor, Norwood for the level of care they provided and the kindness and concern they have shown in the few short months Lois was with them.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to any of the local clubs or associations Lois deeply cared for would be greatly appreciated by the family.
