Peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital on Monday evening, July 18, 2022 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Barbara for over 62 years. Cherished father of Ron (Brenda) and Heather (Dale). Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Dylan (Chelsea), Dawson (Taylor), Alex, and Paige and great-grandchildren Quinn, Cohen and Aria. Loving sibling to Jack, predeceased (Shirley), Marg (Ed, predeceased), Mae (Claude, predeceased), Audrey (Ross, predeceased), and Bill (Joyce) along with his many nieces and nephews. Elmer was a devoted family man who truly cherished spending time with his loved ones, sharing stories new and old and keenly exercising his endless sense of humour. Always willing to lend a hand to whoever needed it, Elmer was a man of many talents but his speciality was an enduring love of woodworking. He used his skills and creativity along with his determined resourcefulness to build two homes for his family over the years and to complete countless projects and one-of-a-kind gifts for special folks along the way. He loved nothing more than to have a good project to work on and to know that it would help someone out and bring them joy. Elmer will be so greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbours.
