Passed away at the P.R.H.C. on Wednesday August 3, 2022.  John Bannan of Buckhorn in his 99^th year.  Beloved husband of Irene Bannan.  Loving father of Susan Chase (Brian d.), John Bannan and Shelley Bertram-Fallis (Ross).  Fondly remembered by granddaughter Jamie Bertram.  Survived by sister Wanda Bannan and brother Jim Bannan (Ann) and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by sisters Esther, Thelma, Greta, brother Warren and parents John and Gertrude (nee Dixon).  A Royal Canadian Legion Service and Memorial Service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES. LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Thursday August 11, 2022 at 3:00 PM.  Visitation two hours prior to the service.  Interment Emily Cemetery at a later date.  A Celebration of John’s Life will also be held at a later date.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. #77, Lakefield or Buckhorn Community Centre.  Friends may send condolences or make donations at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
