Obituary of Bob McGar
Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday, September 2, 2022. Bob of Lakefield in his 95th year. Beloved husband of Joan McGar (née Pate). Loving father of Karen McCracken (Geoff) and the late Mary Algar. Grandpa will always be loved and remembered by Cassandra Kelly (Aaron), Whitney McCracken (Andy), Regan Joseph (Allan), Carter McCracken (Caitlin), Matthew Algar, Samantha Algar and eight great grandchildren. Bob is predeceased by his siblings, Nora Walker, William Nicholls, and Audrey Davis.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Peterborough Regional Health Centre – Unit C3 for their utmost care and compassion during Bob’s stay.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, Ontario on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at the Hendren Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 1:00 PM with a reception to follow in the Heritage Room. Interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Lakefield following the reception.
