Obituary of Naomi Rachel Locke-Souter

LOCKE-SOUTER: Naomi Rachel

December 11, 1994 – October 1, 2022

If love alone could have saved you, you would have lived forever.

Naomi Rachel Locke-Souter, in her 28th year, passed away suddenly on the morning of Saturday October 1, 2022.  With a bright and bubbly personality, Naomi lit up any room she walked into.  Her intense love for her family and friends is what set Naomi apart from others.  She loved hard and with all of herself.  She was a precious, beloved daughter who lit the heart of her mother.  She was an amazing little sister who was treasured beyond compare.  She was a proud auntie, who absolutely adored all her nieces and nephews.  She fought a fierce war with addiction over the past several years that stole her from her family.  That ripped her beautiful soul into a million pieces.  That ultimately won the battle.  She leaves behind her absolutely heartbroken family: her mother Anita Locke (nee Wierdsma), step-father Dail Young, father Mac Souter, brother Jason Locke (Lisa), sister Sara Moore (Tom), sister Emily Locke (Guy), sister Hollie Locke (Ben) and step-sisters Leanne (Young-Tremblett) and Kristen Young.  Loving auntie to Jasmyne, Weston, Talan, Aiden, Brycen, Ava, Brooklyn, Chloe, Norah, Arie and Titan.  Remembered by many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Loved by so many friends.  Predeceased by her Oma and Boppie (grandparents Siebe and Elisabeth Wierdsma) and Monta and Al Souter.  Cremation has taken place.  A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Naomi’s memory to Fourcast Peterborough or the Canadian Mental Health Association, Peterborough.  Friend may send condolences or make donations by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
