Margaret Brickell

Obituary of Margaret Louise Brickell

Brickell, Margaret Louise (nee Gravelle)

Maggie passed away unexpectedly at her Norwood home in her sleep on November 9th, 2022 at the age of 64. Her sudden death was a huge shock to her family, friends, and the community. She is predeceased by her parents Norbert and Thelma Gravelle of Spencerport, New York. Survived by her loving husband Bob, her two sons Richard (Aziza) and Dakota, Bob’s brother Jim (Joy) and sister Suzy (Brian Pawley). She was the oldest of four, her brothers Ralf (Pam), Norb Jr. (Jamie), and sister Bobbie Gravelle. As well as many nieces, nephews, and many fine friends whom she cared for like family.

She loved her work in customer service in the printing industry with many clients trusting her for 30+ years and new clients signing up regularly. Her real passion was for the cottage where she spent her time at every opportunity, and some of her dearest and oldest friends are still at Lake Kasshabog where she has been an active volunteer member of the lake association helping with everything from preservation to community spirit. After moving to Norwood less than a decade ago, she became a volunteer for Community Care; being an avid reader, she became a board member of the Norwood Library, and was a huge supporter of the Norwood Lions Club.

Maggie will always be remembered as the helpful person she was, whenever and wherever help was needed she did her best to fill that need! We all miss her so much! Maggie wished to be cremated and have a celebration of life, the family is always aiming to have her public celebration in the Spring of 2023. An announcement will be made when a date is set.
