Allan William White
Beloved father Allan passed away peacefully at home January 20th, 2023,
with family by his side. Allan is survived by his son Glen (Kim), and daughters Corinne and Allison, ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Allan is predeceased by his wife of 64 years Donna (Scott), and daughters Debra and Denyse. Allan was the eldest brother of three surviving brothers Maurice, Clifford (Karen) and Bill (Ruth). Born in 1931 in Toronto to William White and Marjorie (Cochrane), Allan grew up in Scarborough where he met Donna at the post office. Together they were active in the Cubs and Boy Scouts, and the Anglican Church Youth Group. In 1968 they moved their family of seven to Bobcaygeon where they lived the rest of their lives. Allan was an electrical contractor and very active in the community, marshaling the Canada Day Parade, was a volunteer fire fighter, and sat on the Bobcaygeon Planning Board. He was a longstanding member of the Verulam Masonic Lodge, Rameses Shrine, Eastern Star, Scottish Rite, York Rite, and many concordant bodies of the Masonic order. A visitation will be held Friday, February 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Hendren Funeral Home – Monk Chapel 6 Helen St, Bobcaygeon. Service will take place February 4th 2023 at the Christ Anglican Church at 43 Sherwood St, Bobcaygeon. With an Eastern Star funeral from 1:00 – 1:30 PM, followed by a Masonic Funeral from 1:30 – 2:30 PM, and a family service to finish starting at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Hearth Place.
