Obituary of Cynthia Margaret Marks

Cynthia (Cindy) Marks – December 7, 1956-April 24. 2023

Sadly, on April 24, 2023, we lost our beloved Cindy after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind the love of her life and partner of 35 years, Larry Kimble, her son, Darwin, and daughter, Laryssa (Alec Stone), her mother Jeanette Marks, and two brothers, Richard and Darcy of Saint John, NB. Pre-deceased by her sister Veronica and her father Ronald. Cindy was born in Saint John, NB, graduated from St. Vincent's High School, and moved to Bobcaygeon in 1988. Cindy was incredibly devoted to her family. She was a dedicated mother with every essence of her being, the epitome of strength, selflessness, and unconditional love. Her vibrant, welcoming presence left an impact on anyone lucky enough to cross paths with her. Always going above and beyond for anyone in need, whether it was family, a friend, or someone she just met. To know her was to love her. She had a passion for learning new things, never afraid to fail or get her hands dirty. One of her favourite sayings was, “I didn’t know I couldn’t — so I did.” Always up for any challenge that came her way, she truly found life interesting and enjoyed it with gusto. She loved painting, decorating, reading, photography, and skiing, along with organizing an annual Algonquin Park camping trip with her best friend Tracy (Martha) for family and friends. She enjoyed her daily walks around the village, greeting friends (and animals) on her way. She was a very warm hearted and generous person and everywhere she went she left behind a trail of happiness and colour. She will be missed deeply by many. Her warmth, quick wit and zest for life will live on in the hearts of her friends and family. A celebration of life in Cindy’s honour for loved ones will be arranged at a later date at her home in Bobcaygeon. As expressions of sympathy, condolences may be made by visiting www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-639-5322.
