DUNFORD: Maxwell Everett
Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Peterborough on Saturday May 13, 2023. Max Dunford of Lakefield in his 89th year. Max enjoyed a long career as a truck driver for various companies. He loved to fish and spent countless hours watching his children and grandchildren play many different sports. Max also enjoyed step-dancing and playing his fiddle and guitar. Loving husband of the late Marilynn (Embury). Dear dad of Louise Heard (Ben), Kim Swan (Len), Roger Dunford (Lisa) and Melody Benson (Rod.). Lovingly remembered by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Survived by his siblings John Dunford (Linda), Charlie Dunford (Jessie), Betty Williams, Colleen Cox (Dale), Idonia Young, Beatrice Hopkins and sister-in-law June Dunford. Predeceased by his brothers Doug, Bob and Garry Dunford, sister Dorothy Saltern, and brothers-in-law Gord Williams and George Hopkins. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Max’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #77, Lakefield on Friday June 23, 2023 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM.
