SHAKESPEAR: Rebecca

Passed away at Hospice Peterborough on Wednesday June 21, 2023.  Rebecca Shakespear of Buckhorn in her 52^nd year.  Rebecca was the owner/operator of Shaker’s Diner in Lakefield and will be missed by the many patrons there.  She is loved and missed by her mother Lynne and her daughter Maggie Shakespear.  Also missed by her sisters Kerri Shakespear, Jennifer O’Rourke and Lyndsey Vardy.  Loving aunt of Dylan, Deryl, Taylor, Jeffrey, Keegan and great aunt of Jayden and Rylee.  Cremation has taken place.  A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made to Lakefield Animal Welfare Society (L.A.W.S.) or Hospice Peterborough as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.  The family wishes to thank Dr. Jonathan Mallory, the nurses and staff of P.R.H.C. and the caring staff of Hospice Peterborough.
