Obituary of Douglas Joseph Black

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Sunnybrook Hospital on June 30th 2023. Cherished husband to Kay and father to Leah and Shawn (Lynn). Douglas will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Lucinda, Kaitlin and Connor. Douglas was with Lenkurt/Microtel Electric for 21 years and with Ontario Hydro for 15 years. After retirement, he and Kay built their retirement home on Buckhorn Lake. He enjoyed 20 years of retirement with his family, snowmobiling in the winter, boating in the summer, traveling all over North America with their Airstream trailer, and often making trips to BC to visit with Shawn and his family. Doug was an active member of the Buckhorn District Snowmobile Club and the local carving club. He will be missed by his family and friends.
