Robert “Bob” John Teefy

February 7th, 1954- June 30th 2023

It is with profound sadness that the family of Bob Teefy announce his unexpected passing on June 30th, 2023 at the age of 69.  Surrounded by the love of his family at his home, Bob passed away peacefully in his sleep.

Bob was predeceased by his loving wife of 36 years, Dorothy Teefy. He was a loving father of Amey Cassidy (David), Tyler Teefy (Stephanie) and Taryn McConnell (Chris).  He is greatly missed by his grandchildren Sky, Levi, Aeralyn, Jacob, Alyvia, Aryanna, Logan, Landon, and great grandchild Everest.  Survived by siblings Tom Teefy (Bonnie), Hugh Teefy (Audrey), Dennis Teefy (Denise), Frank Teefy (Shelley), and Jane Johnson (Gary).  Fondly remembered and dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A celebration of life for Bob will take place Friday, July 7th, 2023 at the Douro Community Centre, 2893 Highway 28, Lakefield. Visitation will start at 10:30 AM-12:00 PM, with Service to follow at 12:00 PM. The Teefy family would like to invite you to join them for light refreshments after the service. 

As hockey was a big part of Bob’s life, his family has also rented the dry surface of the arena for kids to play ball hockey after the service from 12:30-2:30.  We kindly ask that you bring a hockey stick and shoes if you want to join.

In addition, friends and family are kindly asked to share a personal story, memory, and/or photo on Bob’s Facebook page to serve as a place for family and friends to recognize this one-of-a-kind man and the joy that he brought to this world.
