Passed away suddenly at his home after a lengthy struggle on Saturday August 19, 2023.  Bruce Brett of Havelock in his 62^nd year.  Bruce was the owner/operator of Trillium Catering in Havelock and will be remembered by many for the many functions he has catered in the area.  He is the loving son of the late Glen Sherman Brett (2021) and Evangeline Cross (neé Good) (2017).  Sadly missed by his step-mother Betty Brett, sister Elizabeth (Beth) Brett and brother Bill Brett (Lisa).  Fondly remembered by Lee Redden, step-brother John Cross (the late Carol Harris) and step-sisters Wendy Anstey (John), Lynn Jansen (Jack), Kim Bird Russell (Dave).  Special uncle of Christine “Chrissy” Curry (Bruce Farrell), Ben, Daniel (Lydia), Becky and Jacob Brett, and step nieces and nephews Amy Anstey, Ian Anstey (Dr. Enobong Anstey), John Jansen, Tanya Harris (Jeff), Rosanne Detlor (Jeff), Trisha Gregg (Dillan Nice) and Brett Gregg.  Bruce will be terribly missed by all of his relatives and friends.  Visitation will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, NORWOOD CHAPEL, 36 Queen Street, Norwood on Thursday August 24, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday August 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Havelock.  A reception will follow at the Lions Hall, 39 George Street East, Havelock.  Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the P.R.H.C., Dialysis Unit as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-639-5322.
