Robert Percy Mackie "Bob"

Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on October 21, 2023. Bob Mackie of Peterborough formerly of Toronto was in his 88th year. Beloved husband and best friend to the late Shirley Mackie (June 2022).  Cherished and loved father to Karen Pound of Dundas, Julie Cudmore (Al) of Omemee, Deborah Greenwood (Chris) of Richmond Hill, Mark Mackie (Debbie) of Omemee and the late Colin Mackie (Jan. 2022) of Havelock.  Grandpa will always be loved and fondly remembered by Jeff (Sarah), Joel (Daniella), Kali (Teddy), Bill (Raven), Danny (Amanda), Jimmy (Nicole), Derek (Shannon), Stephanie (Chris) and Shawn.  Great Grandpa will be remembered and missed by his 16 dearly loved great grandchildren. Survived by his sisters, Doris Clarey (Richard) and Jean McKeown (Ross).  Bob served in the Royal Canadian Navy #R12269 and was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 353 recently receiving his 65-year Service Award. Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held at The Hendren Funeral Homes, Lakefield Chapel, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on November 1, 2023 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation to commence two hours prior to the service between 1 - 3 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation, Palliative Care or charity of your choice in Bob's name.
