BATTEN: Ernest “Harvey”

Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Wednesday December 27, 2023.  Harvey Batten of Peterborough, formerly of Douro-Dummer, at age 92. Retired employee of City of Peterborough Public Works. Beloved husband of Beverly Batten (née Donoghue).  Loving father of David (Luella) Darryl and Kevin Batten.  Dear grandfather of 5 and great grandfather of 2.

Harvey is survived by his brother Murray Batten (Flo) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Eric Batten (Dorothy), and Bill Batten (d. Shirley).

Family and friends are called to attend a visitation at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, on Monday January 8 from 6:00PM-8:00PM.  Prayers will be said at 5:45. A funeral mass will take place at St. Joseph’s R.C Church, Douro, on Tuesday January 9 at 10:00 am.  Family and friends are invited back to the funeral home following the service for a reception.  Inurnment at St. Marks Cemetery Warsaw in the spring.
