As a little girl growing up I met Irwin for the first time when he visited his home island of Trinidad. I was about 6 or 7 at the time and he was dressed in 'cowboy' boots with the biggest hat on his head that I had even seen.
I met him once again when I was a little older but that first time was the image that stayed with me all my life as he made such an impression on me.
My condolences to Irwin's family. His spirit will live in in your memories, like his image will live in in mine.
