Obituary of Ruth Fitton

FITTON: Ruth Ann (nee Tedford)

Passed away peacefully at her home on Friday February 2, 2024.  Ruth Fitton of Lakefield in her 83^rd year.  She is loved and missed by her husband of 60 years, Roy Fitton, her son Randy Fitton (Julie Kung) of Mont-Tremblant and granddaughter Shenda Fitton of Ottawa.  Survived by her sisters Phyllis Boyce (Don) of Selwyn, Elizabeth Armstrong of Peterborough, Catherine Tedford of Peterborough, brothers Robert Tedford (Colleen) of Burleigh Falls, Ron Tedford of Toronto, Ken Tedford (Carrie) of Peterborough and sister-in-law Dianne Tedford of Lakefield.  Predeceased by her brothers Keith Tedford, Roy Tedford (Charlene) and brother-in-law Don Armstrong.  A funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Saturday February 17, 2024 at 12:00 PM.  Visitation will commence at 10:30 AM.  A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home.  Interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery in the spring.  Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation as expressions of sympathy, and may be made by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.comor by calling 705-652-3355.
