Mader, Ray Robert
Passed away peacefully in his sleep at home after a lengthy battle with cancer on February 22nd, 2024. Loving husband of 52 years to Wendy Mader (nee Cornell). Beloved father to Chad (Courtney) and Blair (Mandy). Proud grandfather to Evan, Cardiff, Noah, Campbell and Kaylie.
Ray touched the lives of a large number of students over his teaching career that began in Chateauguay, Qc in 1965 and finished in Lakefield, ON in 1998. In 1972, shortly after moving to Ontario, he starting raising beef cattle, a passion that continued throughout his life. Ray will be missed by many more who knew him.
A visitation will be held at the HENDREN FUNERAL HOME - LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Monday February 26th, 2024 from 4 – 8 PM. A Graveside service will take place Tuesday February 27th at 11 AM at Sandy Lake Cemetery, with reception to follow at the Lakehurst hall, 259 Lakehurst Circle Road, Lakehurst.
