Obituary of Sylvia Marie Althouse

ALTHOUSE: Sylvia

Passed away at Bridge Hospice-Warkworth on Wednesday February 28, 2024.  Sylvia (née Strain), of Norwood, in her 88 th year.  Beloved wife of the late Lionel Althouse.  Loving mother of Adele Kendall (Fred), and grandmother of Travis Kendall. Sylvia is survived by her brothers Robert and David Strain, brother-in-law Ross Althouse (d. Barbara), Nieces Wendy (Duane), Deanna (d. Henry), and Jennifer (Sean).  Predeceased by her parents Vince and Mary Strain and brother Sid Strain.  Sylvia will be dearly missed by Adrienne Buchanan, and Ellie and Glen Girven.

A celebration of Sylvia’s life will be held at the HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES-NORWOOD CHAPEL, 36 QUEEN STREET NORWOOD, on Saturday May 25, 2024, from 1:00PM-4:00PM.  Words will be shared at 2:30PM.
