Passed away at Pleasant Meadow Manor, Norwood on Tuesday June 11, 2024. Marilyn Begg in her 94th year, with her family by her side. Beloved wife to Raymond (d. 2016) for 68 years. Cherished mother of Barbara Sherwin (d. 2022) (Paul) of Hastings, Joan Smith (Bill) of Dollard des Ormeaux, Jack (Nancy) of Norwood and Fred (d. 2017). Fondly remembered by grandchildren and great grandchildren: Andy Smith (Andrea) and their children Alaina, Brennan, Lydia and Tyler; Jennifer Smith and her children Adriana and Kaylie; Mike Sherwin (Karen) and their children Matt (Mara), Ben and Ryan; Rhonda Drain (Dave) and their children Iva and Lila; Barclay Begg (Wanda) and their children Abi and Daniel; Jason Begg (Kate) and their children Brynn, Macey and Lydia; Brent Begg (Emily) and their children Grayson and Gavin. Predeceased by her granddaughter Stephanie Sherwin, parents Alf and Freda (Hay) Forde and siblings James, Fred, George, Doug, Ken and Shirley McDonald. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staffs at Mapleview Retirement Home, Pleasant Meadow Manor LTC, the P.S.W.’s, neighbours, friends and family who have supported and cared for Marilyn over the last few years. A funeral service will be held at the Norwood United Church on Saturday June 15, 2024 at 3:00 PM. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Asphodel-Norwood Cemetery. A reception will follow at the church.
