Colin was a great friend from our "university days" hangout out together. It is sad that he has left us too early. Our condolences to you Judy, Meaghan, and Sarah and Josh. It is a difficult time. We're thinking of you. Love, Kevin and Gabi.

As a co-worker of Colin, I had tremendous respect for his smarts and the way he interacted with his peers and those persons he managed which was always fair and thoughtful. He will be missed. Sincere condolences to you his family, during this time.

Judy, Meaghan, Sarah and extended family, please accept my deepest condolences on Colin's passing. I have known Colin since 1989, working with him in Timmins on the GIS Pilot/Model project. We used to put in long hours there and he rarely took breaks! Being another Colin myself, we referred to each other as "CB" and "CC"! He was definitely hard working, had no airs about him and was the epitome of honesty and integrity! We continued to work together throughout our careers and Colin was certainly instrumental in the adoption of GIS throughout the MNR and the province. Even more importantly he played a key role in building and maintaining the data so fundamental to operating the government! He was not just about work though! I have fond memories of many fun times in Timmins and Peterborough; he certainly had a sarcastic side too :), but he could always be depended on to have your back! Colin will be greatly missed!

My thoughts are with Judy, Meghan, Sarah and the Brethour family with the passing of Colin. Colin was a great manager at the MNR and someone who I knew I could always count on as a wonderful reference for jobs. He included me in many of the office and non office activities including hockey pools, lunch time drinks, hunt camp/ice fishing weekends and curling bonspiels . He was a wonderful mentor and a great person. Sad to see him go, may his memory live on forever.

My deepest sympathies to Judy, Meghan, Sarah and the Brethour family with the passing of Colin. Working with Colin for 2 decades was a wonderful experience. Colin was an unbelievable mentor to me. Colin’s mentoring was only surpassed by his love of getting friends together for some fun. For many years Colin would invite friends from work to the “hunt camp” for a boy’s weekend. Occasionally this weekend outing would fall on his birthday, and we took full advantage of this coincidence. I will miss Colin greatly.

I have many fun memories of times in Timmins and MNR curling bonspiels with Colin. Our team, Bubba and the Beer Bellies, had a lot of laughs over many years of curling. He was a proud UNB forester who loved to tell a yarn. I will think of Colin when I hear a Stan Rogers song. Condolences to the Brethour family for your loss, but Colin will be remembered and celebrated by many of us who knew him.
