Heaven has accepted a beautiful soul. Robert David MacGregor, 87, of Alpine Village Community died on October 4, 2024 in Peterborough Hospice. A wonderful family man, he leaves behind his wife Mary Anne and his six children, Steve (Susanna), Bill (Melanie), Laura (Michael), Sue, Lisa (Bruce) and Florence (Gui). He was blessed with having thirteen grandchildren, Casey, Elora, Dylan, Danny, Joshua, Hunter, Julia, Patrick, Jacob, Lily Sophie, Ashara and Ananda and three great grandchildren Elwin, Lynette and Ronan. He was predeceased by his first wife Marie MacGregor in 2013.
Robert, known as Bob, was a great adventurer and lived in two countries, USA and Canada. He was a professional engineer, very creative in product development and worked at Proctor& Gamble in Cincinnati, Neilson’s and Campbells in Toronto. He loved travelling, billiards, football, movies, and his family and friends. He was a creator of magic secret rooms and beautiful woodwork. He was a wonderful friend, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, great grandfather and woochie love hug tree to all.
Visitation will be on Tuesday October 8th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Hendren Funeral Homes, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday October 9th at 10 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 18 Need Street, Bobcaygeon. Followed by a time of fellowship with food and refreshments afterwards back at the Hendren Funeral Home – Monk Chapel. Burial to follow the luncheon at Prince Albert Pine Grove Cemetery.
