Obituary of Kenneth Wayne Mann
April 2, 1935-October 29, 2024
After a wonderful life shared with family and friends and 60 years of love and marriage, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our much-loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Kenneth Mann. Ken passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Stoney Lake.
Ken will be missed and forever loved by his wife, Diane; his children Stephen(Ann), Kevin(Sandy) and Lisa(Alex); His grandchildren, Kirsten, Natalie, Emily, Ava, Kenneth, Nicholas and Isabelle; as well as his sister Linda(Bob) and her children Susanne, Gerry, Ian and David.
Ken was born in Drayton, Ontario and was raised in Acton, Ontario by loving parents Alec and Helena Mann.
Ken’s love of people began in Acton where at 18 years old he started his career as proud owner of a diner in town. He continued with his human resources position at Baxter laboratories. Ken was endlessly curious, with a never-ending drive to succeed. He was always wanting to learn more which led him to his true retail passion in Canadian Tire. He loved the triangle and the incredible people he was so fortunate to be around every day. 46 years of daily interaction with store associates and customers made every one of his days a success.
With his loving wife Diane, their passion of travelling across the world with friends provided years of enjoyment that was only surpassed by his interest in people and his family. In retirement his sole focus was his wife and enjoying his family at Stoney Lake and the beach house on Siesta Key.
Ken would appreciate any memorial donations to be directed to Jumpstart – a charity for children that was his passion.

Ken would ask every one of you to smile and love life. Eternal optimism with constant empathy was how he lived, and he would want you to turn to your loved ones and tell them how much you love them while you still can.
As per Ken’s wishes there will be no funeral services.
