Obituary of Judy Sharp

SHARP, Judith

Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on Monday January 6th, 2025. Judith (Judy) Ann Sharp (née Young), of Oshawa, in her 87th year.  Judy was born and raised in Windsor and attended Walkerville Collegiate, where her father taught and where she met the love of her life Bob.  Judy and Bob married in Windsor and had 3 children, before setting off for Montreal. After a few years they moved to Newmarket, then Oshawa, where Judy became a Bell Canada operator.  Many years later, Judy and Bob retired to Bobcaygeon. Travel took Judy and Bob to Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Austria, Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, and Canada from coast to coast. Many winters were spent in Florida. Judy and Bob enjoyed watching the grandkids play baseball and helping them fish off the dock in Bobcaygeon.  Judy enjoyed playing cards, getting together with friends and neighbors.  Judy was an avid painter and she belonged to the Brush Strokes painting group for many years. After the loss of her beloved Bob (2016,) Judy moved to Oshawa in 2021, to be closer to her family.  In her last years, Judy enjoyed outings with lunches, and to satisfy her sweet tooth, always finished with a big chocolate dessert.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Lincoln Sharp. Loving mother of Mike Sharp, Jean Sharp and Rob Sharp (Daphne).  Dear grandmother of Owen (Kalean), Kevin (Rachel), Ryan (Cassie), Daniel, and great grandmother of Nora, Lennon and Logan.  Dearly missed by her step sister Lynda Warren of Michigan. Predeceased by her brother Bill (Joan), and her parents Bill and Isabelle Young, and Jean McClymont. Cremation has taken place, arrangements entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES MONK CHAPEL.   A celebration tea will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or the ALS Society of Canada, by visiting www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705 738-3222.  The family wishes to thank the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, for the excellent care Judy received from them during her time there.
