ray. i a writing you a letter I should have a long time ago.
you were my hockey coach.you came and took me to hockey when I couldn't get there.you were more of a father to me than my own father.I learned from you things about hockey they still dont teach.I am 62 now and remember all the ice we shared.I was made to feel like one of your family.you were my coach for eight years. i often through life wondered about you and your demise.I liked the pic of you holding that monster bass.funny I too love fishing.I hope your resting in peace looking down on all your hockey players and smiling. i was there the day you kicked the garbage can full of sand and broke your foot.i remain a huge fan of yours and look forward to meeting in the very distant future in the after life if I get one.I remain gfhalpenny. one of your hockey players gfhalp@gmail.com

Hey Coach;
Sandra and I want to pass on to you and your family our deepest sympathy. I knew your dad from the ole Rokeby days. There aren't a whole lot of customers that leave a good impression nowadays but your dad was one of the few. A warm smile and a friendly joke was always expected and he always gave what I expected. His smile will live on forever.......because you have the same smile.

My deepest sympathy to all the family. When Jim and I lost both fathers within a year of each other, Ray came and asked Jim and me if he and Joan could be Papa and Nana to Jenifer and Adam. We were so touched and very grateful and what a Papa he was. Papa taught Jenifer and Adam how to be good fishermen, play cards and how to enjoy life as he did. Both Jim and I will always be grateful to Ray and Joan.

JANUARY 15, 1955 60th anniversary would be here soon...dad mentioned he wanted to share that with his beautiful bride...they received many Anniversary cards, in advance and they opened them together and we brought the date to him, so he would not have to struggle to make the date....

Darlene and family: I'm in shock reading this announcement. I talked to Ray just a couple of months ago while he was fishing at the bridge (one of his favourite spots). He told me all about his illness and it seemed as though he just got the news. I never thought this would happen so quickly. Ray and I talked a lot and he was a nice guy that loved to fish. I bought a set of bear lawn ornaments from him and I will always remember him when I put them out in the Spring each year. He spoke about you guys often and loved his place in Florida. RIP Ray and I will miss seeing you at the bridge next Fall.
